ONAT will implement an automatic mechanism to collect outstanding tax debts directly from taxpayers' bank accounts, aiming to streamline collection, reduce evasion, increase compliance, while including safeguards and appeals for those facing financial difficulties, with a pilot phase before nationwide rollout.
