The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) participated in the 60th General Assembly of the Inter-American Centre of Tax Administrations (CIAT) in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Headed by Director-General His Excellency Abdulaziz Al Mulla, the UAE delegation joined global tax administrations, specialised organisations, and technology companies to focus on the theme "Digital Transformation of Tax Administrations."

The four-day assembly addressed critical developments in tax administration, including digital infrastructure, integrated electronic services, compliance strategies, and AI solutions. Specialists held workshops to share global experiences and address challenges tied to the digital evolution of the tax sector.

Al Mulla stated that the FTA’s participation aligns with efforts to boost the UAE's presence in international forums and build a world-class tax system that supports economic sustainability and competitiveness. He emphasized that digital transformation and artificial intelligence are key pillars for modern tax systems, offering innovative ways to accelerate procedures, elevate service quality, and improve transparency. Moving forward, the FTA remains committed to upgrading its digital infrastructure and using modern technologies to keep pace with global trends and deliver an advanced, efficient experience for UAE taxpayers.
