The Czech Financial Administration announced that, starting 1 July 2026, developers of cash register systems will be able to access a dedicated test environment called Playground for the second version of the Electronic Evidence of Transactions (EET 2.0). The Playground provides a sandbox where developers can simulate transactions, verify data processing, and test compliance with the new EET regulations before the official rollout. The environment includes sample datasets, API endpoints, and documentation to help integrate cash register software with the updated EET requirements. By offering this test platform, the Administration aims to reduce errors during the transition, ensure that taxpayers' systems are ready for the new reporting obligations, and allow thorough testing of new features such as enhanced data capture and validation rules. The Administration also encourages developers to provide feedback on any issues encountered, which will be used to refine the final version of EET 2.0. Access to the Playground is free for registered developers and can be used through a web portal. The launch of the test environment is part of a broader effort to modernize tax collection, improve transparency, and support taxpayers in meeting their obligations with reliable digital tools. This initiative underscores the Czech Republic's commitment to digital transformation in the financial sector.
