The Financial Administration issues a timely reminder that the final day to submit postponed tax returns and to take advantage of the tax amnesty program is fast approaching. Taxpayers who have applied for an extension on filing their tax returns must ensure that the completed documentation is submitted no later than Tuesday, 30 June 2026. Similarly, the opportunity to benefit from the tax amnesty, which allows the settlement of outstanding tax liabilities without incurring penalties or interest for late payment, ends on the same date. This amnesty is intended to provide a final chance for taxpayers to regularize their fiscal situation, settle arrears, and avoid additional financial burdens. To facilitate compliance, the Administration has extended office hours at selected tax offices and expanded the availability of online filing tools. Taxpayers are urged to assess their obligations promptly, prepare the necessary paperwork, and either submit it in person or via the established electronic channels before the deadline. Failure to meet this deadline will result in the loss of amnesty benefits and may expose individuals to standard enforcement actions, including fines and interest charges.
