HASiL, the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia, announced the commencement of a comprehensive digitalisation programme for Tax Service Sub-sector 44(6) scheduled to take effect on 15 June 2026. The initiative aims to replace manual processing with an integrated online platform that streamlines registration, filing, and payment for taxpayers operating within this specific tax category. By leveraging the existing MYTAX infrastructure, the Board expects to reduce processing times by up to 40 percent, minimise paperwork, and enhance transparency in tax compliance. The digital system will incorporate real-time validation, automated assessment, and instant confirmation of payments, thereby reducing the likelihood of errors and disputes. Stakeholders, including businesses and tax agents, have been invited to attend orientation sessions and submit any required documentation ahead of the rollout. The Board also outlined a phased approach, wherein pilot testing will be conducted during May 2026, followed by a full-scale launch on 15 June. Training modules and user manuals will be made available through the portal to ensure a smooth transition. This development is part of the government’s broader agenda to modernise public services, improve revenue collection efficiency, and support the digital economy vision. Taxpayers are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the new interface and adopt the electronic submission workflow to avoid any disruption when the system becomes operational.
