The Ministry of Finance (MoF) of Lebanon issued Decision No. 571/1 on 15 June 2026, extending the filing and payment deadline for Corporate Income Tax (CIT) for the fiscal year 2025 for corporate taxpayers. The new deadline is set for 30 June 2026, providing additional time for corporations to complete their tax obligations. The decision, accessible through the Aldic “Notifications & Regulations” portal, includes an attached scanned copy of the official decree. This extension forms part of a series of recent measures aimed at alleviating tax pressures on businesses, which also includes previous extensions for FY 2025 and adjustments to filing procedures. The MoF emphasizes that all corporate taxpayers must utilise the online filing system and ensure that all required documentation is submitted correctly before the extended deadline to avoid penalties. The notice also clarifies that related obligations such as Ultimate Beneficial Owner (UBO) declarations remain subject to existing timelines. By prolonging the deadline, the MoF seeks to give companies sufficient time to finalise their accounts and comply with tax requirements despite ongoing economic challenges in the country.
