On Tuesday, 16 June 2026, Brazzaville witnessed the official inauguration of the national campaign to sensitise citizens and institutions about the Certified Electronic Billing System (SFEC). The ceremony, presided over by Paul Malié, Chief of Staff to Minister Christian Yoka, featured addresses from key figures including Ludovic Itoua, Director General of Taxation and Domains (DGID), and Séraphin Ndion, Director of General Verifications and Research (DVGR). The event showcased an interactive demonstration of the SFEC platform, highlighting its user‑friendly interface, real‑time transaction tracking, and capacity to mitigate tax fraud. A moderated panel discussion followed, bringing together tax officials, representatives of the private sector and civil‑society organisations to exchange views on implementation challenges and expectations. The launch underscored the Ministry’s strategic objective to digitise tax processes, improve revenue collection efficiency and promote fiscal transparency. By engaging directly with the public, the Ministry aims to build confidence in the new system, facilitate its acceptance, and ensure that all stakeholders understand their roles within the evolving digital tax ecosystem of the Republic of Congo.
